This site is operated by KONSENZ d.o.o. (Rojčeva ulica 20, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia; registration no. 6729762000; VAT ID SI34385894), the company of Roman Perevala, publishing themes under the brand name “Dan Fisher”. KONSENZ d.o.o. is the data controller for personal data collected on this site. Privacy contact: support@dan-fisher.dev.
The short version: we collect what’s needed to sell and support themes, we use cookieless analytics, and we don’t sell or share your data with advertisers.
What we collect, and why
- Purchases and licensing. Checkout is operated by Freemius as merchant of record. Freemius collects your name, email, billing country and payment details (card data goes to the payment processor — neither we nor Freemius store full card numbers). We receive your order details, email, license keys, and the site URLs where a license is activated, so we can deliver updates, downloads and support. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- License activation and updates. Activating a theme sends licensing data from your WordPress site (site URL, WordPress and theme versions) to Freemius so updates and bundled plugin downloads work. Our download service checks your license key and briefly logs requests for security.
- License migration. The migration tool sends your ThemeForest purchase code to Envato’s API to verify it, then creates your free license with Freemius.
- Support. Tickets are handled on Ticksy; your email address and whatever you include in the ticket are used to help you. Email to support@dan-fisher.dev is hosted with Apple.
- Contact forms. If you use a contact form on this site, the details you submit (name, email, message) are emailed to us and used only to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Analytics. We use Plausible, a cookieless, EU-hosted analytics tool. It collects aggregated statistics only (pages, referrers, country, device type) and cannot identify you or follow you across sites. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding site usage.
- Server logs. Our hosting keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Who processes data for us
We share data only with the services that make the shop work: Freemius Inc. (checkout, licensing, transactional emails; USA), the payment processors behind the Freemius checkout, Amazon Web Services (secure plugin downloads; USA), Ticksy (support desk), Plausible Insights OÜ (analytics; EU), and Apple (email). Where a processor is outside the EU, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This site sets only functional cookies: a session cookie if you log in, and the cookies the Freemius checkout needs to process a purchase. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless — which is why you don’t see a cookie banner here.
How long we keep data
Order and invoice data is kept as long as tax law requires. License data lives for the life of your license. Support tickets are kept so we can see the history behind recurring issues. Server logs rotate away after a short period. Analytics data is aggregate-only and contains no personal records.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict or object to processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to support@dan-fisher.dev and we’ll respond within a month. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec) — though we’d appreciate the chance to fix things first.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters (for example, a new analytics tool or processor), we’ll update this page and adjust the date at the top. Purchases made on ThemeForest remain governed by Envato’s privacy policy.
